My Fluval was not pumping properly and only pumped in the inclined position and towards the end only in the prone position. Also, my boost pump thing didn't do anything, it just didn't resist and didn't do anything. I bought it thinking it would solve some of my problems and it actually fixed my entire Fluval. I can run the pump upright again and the primer works like new! It was sent to me in a bubble-lined envelope and one of the blades was broken, but it still worked great without the blade. I wish they had sent them in a small box instead of an envelope. I've had this Fluval for at least 5 or 6 years and it has made it new again. This part is thin in relation to the lower part of the white part and should probably be replaced every 4 years as they deteriorate over time.
