This worked very well for my purpose. HOWEVER I have not used it for/with an Intel NUC box. Rather, I used it as an extension from my monitor mount to the Apple TV Velcro. So for me it was perfect. This provided a very flat surface for using the Apple TV Velcro. This allowed me to use a 1ft HDMI cable to connect to my monitor (it has multiple HDMI ports). However, if you're buying it specifically to install an Intel NUC, read other reviews. If you just need an extension from your monitor mount to mount a streaming box, Raspberry Pi, or other device, I found this to be a great, inexpensive solution. Can I recommend it to a friend? Yes. May I recommend installing a NUC? I have no idea.
