I was looking for a flannel lined sleeping bag for a trip to the mountains as we didn't know what to expect with the early spring temperatures in Virginia but we knew it could get chilly at night anyway. This bag paired with the sleeping mats kept the cold from seeping in underneath us and I used an extra blanket to add some weight. The temp did drop below 40 but we were fine while we were in the bag! The only problem with the bag we received is that the zipper is curved at the bottom so the two sides don't fall apart, but they don't. In any case, this isn't the feature I was worried about. It would just make washing easier, otherwise I have no complaints about this bag.
