I love having a portable, lightweight stand with an optional extension arm. It's a good size and weight to take with you when needed. I had to make a few changes to improve functionality. The pivot point is slightly out of line with good mechanics to lock the angle of the arrow. The stop pin portion requires it to push against and compress the outer casting to lock the boom in place. This puts a lot of pressure on the casting itself when it is compressed enough to lock the cantilever arm in place. In fact, it didn't hold up that well. I installed a bushing under the latch knob that presses the washers directly against the boom mount. I drilled a hole in the outer casting to allow the bushing to float freely and transfer all the pressure. I also installed a bushing in the pivot hole of the boom casting to allow it to pivot freely. Now it is tight and easy to rotate to the desired position. Even with that extra work, these coasters are a great deal.
