Wow I had no idea a shelf could be this cheap. As others have said, it looks like painted cardboard. The 1 I received wasn't made properly so it couldn't sit flush with the wall. The other had a scalloped edge that made it look incredibly cheap. As for strength, I'm very concerned that it will fall off if I put 10+lbs on it (and yes I installed it correctly - 6 anchors are screwed into the studs and the bracket is properly tilted up a bit) . I bought it because it was the right size for my wall, but if I could find other options I would choose an alternative. On the plus side, installation was easy. So I keep it because it's the right size and I don't have to put heavy things on it. If you're willing to run through a few backtracks and nobody's looking too closely, this works well.
