I use these with two of my best traditional pet gates on the internet 4 panels. I use my L shaped gares. These legs help stabilize the gate so my pup can't tip it over. Just make sure you have a bo wire directly above your wooden frame as they will not fit in your gate with the wire directly above the frame. I've only used them for a short time so I'll update my post if I run into any durability issues.
