Good for the first 4-5 months but then fades.

I used this Thunderbolt 3.0 cable with my MacBook 15" (2017) and connected it to my ViewSonic VP2771 to charge while watching TV. It initially worked great with Belkin's quality construction .I have only used this at my home about 4-5 hours a day.However, 6 months after purchase it stopped charging my MacBook and I found that my MacBook gets hot when plugged in without charging, but it still seems to appear on my ViewSonic.After a few days it completely shut down and my monitor no longer recognized it through the cable.I didn't expect that from a Belkin product.
