I just installed it and it works great. The flash blinks 3 times and then turns on in less than 2 seconds. This meets or exceeds the most stringent laws I know for brake lights. The bulb I replaced is slightly shorter than this LED. Specially designed for Ram truck. FYI: If your truck says the passenger side tail light isn't working but you have rear LED lights, it's most likely your third brake light. This should fit many model years. I have a 2016 Ram 1500. To mount, remove the two Phillips slots. Pry off the third brake housing with your fingers. You see 3 transparent bulbs size 921. On the outside 2 for the cargo area and in the middle is a brake light. Rotate the lamp housing to remove it (look inside to see which way it rotates). Pull out the bulb and replace it with a new one. Rotate the bulb holder into position. Wipe the body gasket and sheet metal to ensure a good, clean seal. If you're having trouble getting the case back, make sure you line up the small tab just below the screw. Once it's back in place, replace the screws, being careful not to over tighten and there are still washers on the screws. That's all! I chose the red flash because the white flash warned me that I might need an extra part due to power requirements. I'm not sure if it really mattered.
