This coat runs very small. My dog is 8 pounds and based on her measurements and charts a small should fit. (All her other coats and sweaters are XS or S.) It was so tight I couldn't even close it. I sent it back and ordered a medium and it was almost the same size as the small. She was wearing what appeared to be a straitjacket. In addition, it is very light. Definitely doesn't help in cold weather. However, it is returned 2 stars because it is cute and seems to repel water.
