Great case for the money definitely does the job as does the more expensive Pelikan and Skb models. Not sure if the lid is fully waterproof when closed, no effort is required to close it as it clicks into place and allows a guess as to its waterproofness. Pick n pluck foam is convenient. It has two padlock grommets but like everything else the padlocks keep honest people honest and a simple set of wire dams can cut through the plastic grommets and remove the padlock in seconds so I wouldn't bother unless it's air travel with TSA locks. If you are looking for a good case with a lock I would look for one with cast steel grommets or an integrated lock with a key in the latch. For general use - a good buy.
