These are my second pair of Arizonas. I almost always wear Birkenstock, Arizona in summer, Boston in winter. My old Arizona is about 8 years old and is starting to show signs of wear, it's time to either rebuild them or buy a pair of new ones. 8 years old isn't bad for a pair of shoes that I wear all summer and most of spring and fall. In fact, they can still be worn, they just look like they might fall apart in the next year or two. These sandals are built to last. Anyway my old Arizona was chocolate brown suede and I still wanted to switch to the new color so I just bought the ironskin colors. They look very good with jeans, shorts and casual wear. They're great for lounging at home or for a day of hiking (I've worn my old ones hiking on improved trails, not off-road). I wear them when most people wear tennis shoes and they haven't had any issues with comfort after the leather ripped and that wasn't an issue either. So yes, I would recommend them to anyone interested in a pair of Birkenstocks. The only thing to watch out for is some people like the back strap while I don't need a strap, my wife for example doesn't want an Arizona pair as they don't have that feature.
