They do a very good job of twisting naughty cables. Colors make it easier to find and count cables. If you're smart enough, you could even come up with a color-coding system. In the photo I used green to wrap the keyboard and mouse cables (I was thinking of using wireless but there are some issues) and yellow for the USB hub. I haven't had zip ties in a very long time but they seem to be well constructed, twist tight and unwind easily. The colors allow you to see what's on the physical desktop at a glance, rather than staring at a naughty sea of wiry black cables. A good investment, especially for those of us who choose cables for internet security and to minimize electrical signal interference.
