It's plastic but I looked for it. They keep me warm I'm 5'7" and weigh 169 pounds. In dresses I wear sizes 10-12. Extra large appears like size 14 so it looks loose and messy. It makes me look fat. I had to tighten the shoulder straps all the way and it fits the floor perfectly.I think if you are short you are in trouble.There is a lot of room in the waist and I feel like I wish it was tighter but when I lean towards my legs, Does the suit tie my bum so I know I'm the right size My husband says it doesn't fit me very well but it probably fits me If you order a very large just don't expect it looks fancy because it's not.I ordered pink and think it's very pretty
