We love these pieces, we bought them for our new island bar and as they are height adjustable we also use them for our dining table when we have foliage. Generally they are used as island seating that we sometimes use for dinner and sometimes just to sit. They were also used as extra dining table chairs when we expanded the party table, works great instead of buying 2 extra table chairs and rarely using them and then figuring out where to keep them. they move. on my Brazilian cherry with no scratches and I feel stable while sitting considering I weigh 250 pounds.
