We recently took this cage and found that when the window isn't shining in the sun or we don't have the brightest light in the house on, it's less noticeable in the cage . I made my mind up and surprised my wife with some lights. Not knowing how bright she would like it, I took these "dimmable" bulbs and double-sided taped the dimmer switch to the outside wall of the cage, barely visible. I brightened the phone a bit with the switch to show the dimmer button. We also noticed that the dimmer has an on/off position (below the minimum brightness setting). Just an added bonus, so now we don't have to stick out both the power button and the dimmer.
