Bought to decorate our turtle tank. We don't put pebbles in the aquarium (turtles usually eat them) so we were disappointed to see them swimming around. I'm not even sure these little pebbles are really going to hold it. We attached suction cups to it at the end and it works fine. Also, the bubbles only come out of the first half of the stick. The rod is not defective - if you take it out of the holder and straighten it, it bubbles everywhere, only when it is pressed into the round holder does it contract and the air does not go through. We just had to rotate it so the bubbles were facing the audience. We love lights - we use them 24/7 and only fire bubbles during the day, and it's a great night light with really cool patterns and colors. Interestingly, our tortoise seems to like it a lot too. We often find him with a foamy face, relaxed like he's at a spa or something. :)
