Bad design execution; and now it has become a DANGER! Simply put, my wife and I are working from home due to the pandemic and we have a very busy schedule. We also have twins who have just started crawling and this product is a winner based on the reviews we have read and comparing to the competition. Despite some negative reviews, we decided to give it a try. The first issue we noticed was that the packaging was damaged and the product appeared to have been used. Not sure at the time (we're 95% sure now) and desperate for an install, we relied on the rave reviews for the playpen's size and durability. Although the installation was a little tricky (luckily I'm connected to the HULK (on the advice of another reviewer here :) jk.), I finally got it working. I will say that you will need adequate grip strength and/or a pair of nitrile or latex gloves to keep your hands from slipping when assembling the final piece. Otherwise you will NEVER be able to successfully assemble this play grip yourself. I was sweaty after locking myself in and felt like I should have won some kind of trophy for my efforts! We liked the size and the original tensile strength. However. MY PROBLEM is that the specified tensile strength eventually caused the stop rod to fail under its own load. Technically, that wouldn't normally be a problem if the material used wasn't absolutely cheap and not built to last, especially when the children are constantly pressed against the chain link fence. So pay attention to Exhibit A (attached photo). Mind you, we've had it for less than 2 weeks! Unfortunately this now poses a safety hazard for our twins due to the jagged and sharp edges of the broken rod and we have to either send them back or get replacements. At the time of writing this article, I have not contacted the seller, but will do so to alert them to this design flaw, safety hazard, and pending lawsuit. We will also ask for a refund or replacement and update this review to let you know about the customer service and promptness/willingness to get it right.
