These cables are rated for dogs up to 60 lbs. Large dogs start at 60 pounds. These cables are designed for medium/small dogs. Large dog cables should be rated up to 100 pounds. Update: The first cable broke after 3 months and I usually use the cable for about a year, so two cables together won't last as long as another brand's cable.
