Review on Filson Inch Leather Belt Stainless Men's Accessories for Belts by Peter Alradwan

Revainrating 1 out of 5

What was once a great belt is no longer.

I am compelled to give my former favorite belt a star - not because it necessarily has a star compared to other belts, but because the quality of Filson has really dropped. for many years. This was my favorite belt for years. I really appreciated the ability of the frenulum's thick skin to hold its shape and resist stretching. I also appreciated the fact that this belt had one of the most detachable buckles of any belt. Unfortunately, those two features are no longer on this belt and I didn't purchase them last year. I was hoping last year's purchase was the wrong one and when my weight changed enough to require a new belt I took a chance and ordered another. I should have looked elsewhere. The buckle is no longer removable (buttons have been replaced by rivets), and the formerly thick leather has been replaced with a much thinner material that feels overtanned (too soft for this type of belt). Filson, I gave you a second chance and you failed me again. Maybe Orvis has something that will reach the bar you once set.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
