My hair was too light for my liking. Until I can go back to soften the highlights I figured I'd give this product a try. I washed my hair and towel dried it as best I could so it was slightly damp. I divided my hair into 4 sections and applied the product paying special attention to the highlights. I lightly brushed my hair and applied more of the mask to the areas that needed more. I probably kept the mask on for about 10 minutes. I washed off with cold water. The hands are stained, but that's not scary as the hair has taken on the perfect shade. The scent is okay. It smelled a bit like shaving cream, but not that bad. The hair feels very soft and silky.
