Skip This: Razors and Blades

The best I can give this product is 3 stars as half the blades I received were from a manufacturer called Lord. To be honest I have 5 other different types of Lord Blades which I also include Shark because they are made by Lord. The other 50 are about 30 other blades from different companies while only about 20 blades were really good (Gillette, Feather, Astra). Let me explain why this is so bad. At first I liked the Lord blades, but then I realized early on that they gave me a bit of irritation after two shaves, and there were snags on subsequent shaves. I don't grow a lot of facial hair and my facial hair isn't thick at all. These blades just can't hold an edge. I have since learned that they are used once and then thrown away. It's really annoying that half the blades they sent me turned out to be junk. On the other hand, Feather blades and Gillette blades last about 8 shaves if I really insist. They hold the blade and are sharp, but after about the 8th shave I start to get irritation and stickiness. Lord Blades might work for some, but I just hate them. I've tried them on the very first shaver I received (Dorco Starter Kit), my Parker Shavette and my Merkur 34C everyday razor. The blades never gave me more than one good shave before breaking. Half a blade out of 100 blades only makes it a slow punishment. Even the Dorco blades in my starter kit last longer than the Lord blades. I am very sorry that I cannot recommend this product. Skip this, or if you don't mind using and throwing it away after every shave, then this might be for you. On the other hand, you can just order 100 packs of Gillette 7'o clock Yellows for around $13 and get fantastic razors, or you can just order Feathers for $20 for a pack of 100 and get the sharpest, most reliable razors. All in all, this is not a good buy. At least the included alum block works great, but unfortunately you'll have to use it more often with Lord blades than you'd like.
