They are great and will definitely improve your aiming. I only use one on my joystick on a controller, putting one on my left joystick did absolutely nothing except give me more grip. It's probably a matter of personal preference, but I find even the left joystick a bit awkward. On the joystick it now helps fine tune aiming so it works great. I tried a few higher control freaks and found that I didn't like the feel of the higher versions. The short version is perfect for me.
