Review on Wi-Fi router ASUS RT-AC66U, black by Stanislaw Gluszek ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best thing for the money, glad I did it.

The TP841ND has remained in use for three years with no signs of stopping, despite the fact that the Wi-Fi connection failed whenever the microwave was turned on and the kitchen TV was at the time linked to DLNA and functioning. Additionally, the old man crashed and I had to help him reboot the present machine when it was given to a stress test that included auto-ating Windows 10 and youtubing at 1080p at 60 frames per second. WAN DOMRU 70 Mbps, 1 TV Ethernet, behind it is a device mounted on the wall; 1 TV 2.4 GHz is in the kitchen; 5 Ghz has a smaller range; 1 TV 5Ghz is in the next room; streaming does not lag on this TV anymore; even with a functioning Samba (1 Gbps, the transfer rate is 10 Mbps; at 100 Mbps, 6 Mbps); and a smart Samsung with Wifi auto-switching; however, this A 30Mbps long-range Wi-Fi speed, a signal strength that never drops below 60 even under moderate use, auto-tuning on the 5GHZ frequency, and no more than 8 channels on the 2.4 GHz frequency are all improvements over the 841ND. First impression - I paid 10 times too much, it would have been better to take 842nd and put up with alternative firmware, but after a week of using it and setting it up, I am very happy with my purchase. I had to tweak the connections at first, but now all I have to do is keep an eye on how well SAMBA is doing its job. It is my sincere wish that the muddled state of affairs portrayed above proves useful to at least one reader.

Pros
  • Fantastic gadget with externally accessible torrent client (at 5 GHz) and unlocked 2.4 GHz Wifi; unfortunately, its user interface is not compatible with Apple's iPad (everything is great on an Android device). The TV may be wall-mounted, and the cords can be concealed behind the bracket.
Cons
  • Prots, the system bottleneck when it's running at 100% load, either DLNA or SAMBA works, however if SAMBA is accessed via the ezernet and streaming is done over 5Ghz Wi-Fi, a little more slowness is conceivable but not complete friezes.
