Great container but a little smaller than expected

I bought this because it said it could hold a 5lb sack of flour. However, it doesn't hold 5 pounds of freshly poured flour. Even after compacting, about a cup of flour will still remain in it. I think I was looking for something bigger. I still love it though and it looks great with the other glasses cases. It has good tightness. I like the base it sits on. I'm not worried about him slipping off the counter if he gets hit.
