I exclusively breastfeed so I already knew my daughter would be up all night and I don't want her either. But at least I wanted her to sleep 4-5 hours at a time. Waking up every 2 hours wasn't fun so I resorted to it because my obstetrician told me how it worked with the girl who had her. I find this to be a good transition for babies who are already turning and need to stop wrapping their hands. Every time she looks like she's about to wake up, she falls asleep again. Of course, she only wakes up when she's hungry. The only thing I hate is bringing her back. This is not easy and sometimes frustrating. However, my husband and I need some sleep and it worked for us.
