Helps motivate me to avoid a barrage of free desserts
I'm a college student and there are tons of desserts in the dining rooms and I need something to keep me from shoveling junk food and getting gassy. up to the size of a whale. Enter that scale - it's small, cheap and really works. I bought a cheap digital scale last semester and it didn't work remotely. But to do this, all you have to do is make sure it's on a solid surface, zero it, and jump. (Well, maybe a step further.) A reset is needed from time to time, but not that often. Don't move your weight while you're at it, and this will give you a good, solid reading. Better than the trendy piece my parents have at home!
