This scale has worked great for weighing my luggage so far. It can be seen that this scale includes a strap on the probe with a metal hook on the end. You thread the strap through the luggage handle and then hook the metal hook on the metal bar at the top of the strap. It hooks so securely that the risk of your luggage slipping and falling should be virtually nil. When you turn this scale on, it automatically calibrates itself to your current load (ie, that appears to be just the included sensor and strap). Seems to be a well designed scale and I have no complaints about it.
