EDIT: READ BELOW While it looks good (and even comes with a free USC-C cable), the read/write speeds of this case aren't as advertised. In the ATTO Disk benchmark with a 500 GB Samsung 850 Evo connected to a Thunderbolt 3 port with the new Anker USB-C cable, the maximum read speed was around 44 MB/s and the write speed was around 41 MB/s . Both numbers are a far cry from the 500+ MB/s the drive can achieve. The story remains the same when ATTO was launched over USB 3.0. BEGIN EDIT: After reviewing this article, I tested the drive/enclosure with several other cables including the one that came with the drive and it showed great results. Anker Powerline CC cables are clearly out of specification. Make sure you have a good cable! Other than that, this case is what you would expect. No, it's not bulletproof, but for the price it works well. It doesn't cost anything though, if you plan on taking the drive out of the case frequently you might have trouble as there isn't much room underneath the drive to pull it out of the SATA connectors.
