Review on Elac SUB1010 120-Watt 10-Inch Powered Subwoofer in Black (SUB1010-BK) - Amplified Bass for Enhanced Audio Experience by Daniel Mandal

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Amazing subwoofer at bargain price, buy it before it gets known!

Make no mistake, this subwoofer is perfectly uninterrupted. I lost my entire house including my entire stereo. I just ordered 2 NHT Super Zero bookshelf speakers and needed a subwoofer. Very well thought out for a small space. I had a bic 12, fine, but also had a Martin Loga Dynamo 300 and an svs PB 1000. Nothing beats the SVS in terms of depth and cleanliness of the hit, can literally shake the neighbors next door. But in a small space, you don't want to be kicked out. Martin Logan is great but now it's $200 and I bought mine for $125. Elac has a great reputation, so $129 for a small subwoofer looks like quality, and Andrew Jones' rep took a chance. Dude you're making a deal, once the rumors get out this speaker is going to skyrocket in price like a subwoofer for a desk or small room. The bass is clear, deep, omnidirectional and rounds off the sound perfectly. It won't replace SVS for powerful, deep, killer bass, but for small spaces it's a great complement to bookshelf speakers like the NHT Super Zero, which are also special, ahead of the top-end MX3. This little setup is incredibly good for near-field music, letting you immerse yourself in the music as if you were right there. Personal taste will always tinge your experience, but for a fairly cheap setup you're getting one hell of an audiophile experience with detail and a full range of musical spectrum and soundstage. It's a good deal, now get it before the secret is out. The NHT Super Zero is also a special offer, I really liked my JBL studio speakers but they are great little speakers but they need a subwoofer like the Elac to fully appreciate them. Combo is a musical paradise for me.
