I wanted a pair of inexpensive blue blockers to try out at night and I didn't want huge ugly glasses. They're fine with entry-level blue-blocking goggles, but I quickly switched to a pair of Swanwick Sleeps. PROS: These frames are attractive and look more expensive than they are! - they're light and fit comfortably - they don't block all blue light (and they don't claim to) but they block enough to change my sleep. I tested them with an online test. (Google search: Spectra 479 test strips) CONS - The big problem is the anti-reflective coating on the lenses. They have an almost mirror-like appearance (other people cannot see your eyes because of the blue reflection). In addition, some of the light is always reflected from the inside of the lens. With these glasses, blue artifacts flash into the eyes at certain angles, which is very annoying and potentially counterproductive when you're trying to avoid the blue light spectrum. The frame is made of plastic, not acetate, which is clearly visible. and expected at this price. Acetate's advantage over plastic is that frames can be adjusted by gentle heating and bending. They don't sit perfectly on my face and I don't think they can be adjusted.
