Just what I needed to fix my 10 year old SyncMaster that was flickering for minutes every time it was turned on. The problem persisted no matter what computer or display cable I used. I've found that capacitors on the power distribution side of LCD monitors are prone to failure. Some models require you to disassemble the screen and solder the components. However, since this SyncMaster uses an external power supply, it is easy to replace without tools. I highly recommend troubleshooting any flickering, heating, or power issues.
