This is an improvement over the gel ones as they don't cause sweaty hands. It takes a while but eventually they seem to stop the severe pain in my thumb and I put them to the test the first time I tried them after 2 hours of snow shoveling. Next time (maybe tomorrow) I'll be smart and put them on before I reach for the shovel. They are not as long as they appear in the picture. I didn't want them to be that long to be honest and they offer decent wrist support without the extra length. But don't expect a championship. They have lots of protruding threads and "puffs" of gum. This doesn't affect their effectiveness, but it does make you wonder how long they will last. Assuming they don't fall apart too quickly I would probably buy them again. Shipping wasn't super fast though (maybe because I'm not a Prime member?).
