Help with Varicose Veins

I put off treatment for varicose veins for many years. They didn't hurt, they just looked bad. Eventually, one of the veins popped out, so I was afraid that if I accidentally bumped into something, it might burst. I went to a vein specialist. I had an ultrasound of my legs and was told that 3 of the 4 major veins in my legs were dilated and not working well. relatively pain free. Since I am also undergoing further treatment for smaller varicose veins, I have to wear compression stockings after each treatment. I bought my first pair at the doctor's office and bought these to have an extra pair. I like my stockings to be clean and smell fresh, so I wash them every day on the gentle cycle and let them air dry. They also hold up very well to multiple washes. The material is durable and keeps its shape even after 2 months of use. The only complaint I have is the silicone straps that keep them securely on the hips. Lately I've developed a sensitivity to silicone and my feet are red, slightly swollen and itchy where they rest on my thighs. Otherwise I am completely satisfied with them. They are open-toed and have what is known as a "pull-on aid", a satin slipper that slips over the foot to make dressing easier. Once you put the stocking on, pull the slipper off your foot through the open toe.
