This toy box meets all the specified characteristics. Assembling it wasn't difficult - it only took about half an hour, and I had to partially unscrew the side panel since my husband didn't have an armrest. Right side. The casters are perfect, handling the crate full or empty, and still work great on our thick carpet. My husband forgot the toy box was on wheels and hoisted it across the living room so it's not very heavy but still strong enough that I don't have to worry about it falling apart in a few weeks. It's layers of wood pressed together, so it's not a super cheap material, but it's not an expensive material either. The hydraulic levers that operate the lid are awesome! I was a bit skeptical until they installed them. Now I can see them handling the roughness my toddlers and preschoolers use them with and they prevent many fingers from being accidentally pinched. It's not exactly flattened, but it's more for kids than it is for a box. ;)
