It's been so hot lately that we were willing to do almost anything to make our dog a little more comfortable, day or night, when he should be in it. This dog is hot, it can be below freezing in winter, and he's ready to get outside and wallow in the snow and sleet. Because of the current heat, he's been tossing and turning in the box all night. Many of the options available seemed to have added cooling gels or something we didn't want around the dog in case he decides to chew on the blanket. Evaporative cooling, while effective, wasn't really a viable option for the drawer so after purchasing a set of bamboo fabric cooling panels we looked for simple cooling blankets and were very happy with them. I read the reviews after I found these and read another buyer's review of their mixed breed. It arrived on time, clean and odor free on the hottest day of the week. After washing himself according to his instructions, he went to the drawer. We can correctly say if our dog will like the blanket. If he does, he will immediately fit and place it where he likes, if he doesn't, he'll immediately pull it out of its box and look at you in disappointment. It passed the test. He's no longer restless because he's uncomfortable, and what's really weird is that the blanket is noticeably more than a few degrees colder than room temperature. I would buy it again if needed and would definitely recommend it to a friend.
