I originally saw the light strips at Costco. It was just LED strips. They cost about a third the cost of these. But their lights throw dots on what they illuminate. I started researching different options here on Revain. I chose this set for several reasons. They come with six light bars. If necessary, you can add two additional busbars without an additional transformer. Six was enough for my kitchen. The transformer is bigger than others I've seen. The bars are of high quality and this kit offers all possible installation options. There are several extensions. I needed one, but you're covered if you need to progress. Everything felt high quality. Even cables. The installation for them is no different from other similar products. If you want to hide all the cables you need to drill some holes. I preferred to screw the brackets and cable management to the cabinets rather than just glue them. The sticky material holds up surprisingly well, but I didn't want to risk them giving out over time. My power options were to use it in a cabinet above my microwave (there is an outlet there) or an open outlet. I wanted a neat setup and opted for an outlet above the microwave. Nothing is perfect. This set is no exception. The supplied dimmer is not intended for installation. There is no attachment for it. I used the two included zip ties (on each side). The dial barely protrudes from under the case. That's acceptable to me. I wanted it to be easily accessible so easily visible is fine. There's also nothing intelligent about this set. No motion detection. No cell phone control. But these things don't bother me. Although for some they can become an obstacle. I am very happy with the end product. Take your time and think about the installation. The only solution I struggled with installing it was going through the microwave. I decided to go underneath, but I could have gone through by simply drilling more holes in the cabinets. My way was faster and easier. The only thing to really pay attention to is the placement of the aforementioned dimmer. This should be the first item to which the power supply will be connected.
