Strange pants

When I took them out of the box I thought I would like them. The material of the pants is very soft and pleasant to the touch, the color and pattern are great and they seem perfect. Then you put them on. The pants are very oddly cut. They don't rise high enough on my hips, they're about 2-3 inches shorter and they're bunched in the middle. For example, the pants appear to be gathered in a pile at the bottom of the inside legs. I bought these for Christmas pajamas and they served their purpose, but I haven't worn them since because of the odd cut making them uncomfortable.

Pros

PROPERTIES. The long-sleeved V-neck pullover shirt offers a roomy, relaxed fit, while the hem has an elasticated waist with a chiffon bow tie and two pockets in the side seams.
