I am 66 years old and have collected at least a dozen Ikea cabinets and bookshelves. The instructions for this filing cabinet weren't always clear, but I figured it out. The main problem was that the holes that the big screws go in were only half drilled! I had to dig deeper. Also remember that these "screws" don't have pointed ends, so you can't advance them without pre-drilling them. Another problem I have is 2 supports on either side of the open shelves. When they were installed it was not possible to install the long decorative thin front that sits underneath. This part would not screw all the way in, leaving large gaps on both sides. I had to remove the side panels, attach a thin front panel, and then reattach the side panels. This took about 1 1/2 hours and I'm happy with the end result. It's a good piece of furniture and doesn't look cheap.
