Review on Mattress Shipping Returns Compresses Leakproof by Daniel Bates

A+ product. Use it properly and it will be your best help in moving your mattress.

Since this is a vendor I use at least once a month and I've read so many bad reviews, I wanted to talk about the commercial plastic of this product and how well it actually works. Anyone who complains about 4 stars or less is clearly not using the product as intended. I ship mattresses for my business across the country with these bags and it works every time. My method: 1) Make sure there is nothing near you that could puncture the bag. It's plastic, so act accordingly! 2) Place the mattress in the bag with the opening facing up. Be sure to run the locking clip along the zipper line twice to check for leaks. 3) Open the small part of the seal where you will insert the vacuum hose. (I personally use a store-bought vacuum.) Close the seal around the hose, using tape if necessary to keep the seal closed. 4) Place the hose on the mattress base and turn it on. If after a few minutes you see that your mattress isn't shrinking on its own, you haven't sealed it well enough. 5) Once the mattress has stopped visually shrinking, begin walking every inch of the mattress WHILE the vacuum is on! (Two people make this easier, but not necessary.). After going over it TWICE, turn off the vacuum and close the clip closure as quickly as possible. 6) Open the vent. Put the vacuum hose on the vent and turn it on. The second person should again slowly walk over the entire mattress to let out as much air as possible. Close the vent. 7) Place the compressed mattress against the wall. Two people help again! Roll it up as tightly as possible. Once you've rolled it, be prepared to use some GOOD tape to prevent it from curling. I glued it in 4 places first to keep it from curling. Then I lay it on one side and wrap tape around the mattress in about 8 places on the sides. This process works! My team can compress a 12" or 15" King mattress, solder it, and place it in a 15" x 15" box. We do it all the time. Attached is a video of me doing it myself before I even had a real madness method. Conclusion: use 2 people. Handle well, close well, vacuum well, stick well, protect well.
