Soft? Feels like 400 thread count sheets, so not very soft; It's also a duvet cover and not something that touches my skin while I sleep so doesn't detract from the five star rating at all. This item is made of thick cotton fabric. I appreciate the internal drawstrings at all four corners and the zipper closure. The size is perfect for my king size duvet and the whole lays flat with some expected initial creases after washing/making the bed. The price was stolen, I paid triple for my previous duvet cover and it was almost unsewn. If I had extra beds and blankets I would have bought more. Leaf Gray is a true silver gray without the annoying green or blue cast of some gray labeled products. I can't comment or rate the overlays included in the cover as I don't use them.
