I was past the return deadline when I had to reset my trusty Brother P-touch PT-D200 Label Maker printer so I'm stuck. But here's the kicker: the trusty P-touch was producing labels until yesterday. I ran out of my current cartridge today. I put in new black on white cartridges (bought 1 of 2), entered the print information, pressed print and turned off the P-touch. Uninstalled and reinstalled, everything is fine, the information about the label is displayed, but I press print and the P-touch dies. Check all connections, try again. P-Touch is dying. This is an urgent need so I tried a black on clear cartridge I used 36 hours ago. Apparently the print function is now in permanent kill mode because even yesterday's tape isn't working. If this doesn't kill your label printer, please note: This product does not have a rear connector. It will be EXTREMELY difficult to remove the label from the liner. I have been a regular P-touch user for many years and bought them for my home office and office. But now I go to the stationery store to find and buy a different brand of label printer and a supply of tape.
