We mainly use them to store grow lights, so we try to use them without a reflector to avoid overheating the bulb. The clips hold tight and the switch works well, so the purchase is largely a matter of price. Now we have about a dozen and at about $6 a piece they were pretty much worth the price but now that they're almost $13 a piece I wouldn't pay more and go cheap again and find a lower price. They have a standard plastic lamp base so they don't use a lamp that gets very hot. So if that's the intended use I'd recommend a porcelain base, but for our low temp LED bulbs they're fine. We use clip lights because they require a lot of movement when growing and/or moving the plants and can easily be aimed exactly where needed. We have several indoor greenhouses and other seedling areas, so we always need another one.
