My daughter is ULTRA picky and sensitive about certain items of clothing. The cycling shorts that she has to wear under her school uniform are one such item of clothing. So this year we were able to order uniforms from Lands End but I didn't order enough cycling shorts (which she loved!) and of course they sold out so I'm sitting on Revain looking for cycling shorts and praying that she liked them. we can all get dressed in the morning without the "ugly” cycling shorts. Urban themes are waiting for us! We had some hits with her panties just last week and now we're having some hits on the bike too - THANK YOU CITY TREADS! My daughter is thinner, she is 9 years old and weighs 53 pounds. She can still wear a size 8 in a gymboree but I ordered a size 10 thinking a little bigger might be better and although they are a little baggy on her - they don't hang down on her in any way - they are just a little looser on the leg and buttocks and she loves it. The shorts are very comfortable, they are made of soft and light cotton, they are above the knee and I love that they have a wide range of colors so she can match them with different uniforms. I think it helps her to feel like she has some control over her wardrobe even if she has to wear a uniform every day. The photos show that there is a mark, although this mark doesn't seem to be a problem for my sensory child - for other children it might be. I bought white, light pink and navy blue and although the material is light you can't see anything through the white, although you can see the white briefs underneath I'm not sure as we haven't tried that combination yet. I wouldn't bother with other colors. In search of the perfect cycling shorts, I ordered several cycling shorts from other companies and we only had success with these. I highly recommend - this is where we will be buying our school uniform cycling shorts and all other cycling shorts in the future!
