The cable is ideal for facilitating access to oddly placed LAN ports: in my case, the laptop's LAN now runs right up against the chassis instead of a few inches to loom into my work area. The cable is thick and all components feel solid and well built. My only complaint is that my connector's shielding is so thick and stiff that the latch literally can't be pushed in: first I had to wedge a flathead screwdriver to loosen it, then use a knife to split the latch cover into the gap in the middle so that I was able to detach the cable without tools. Otherwise it is a perfect product.
