Review on Oakley Kitchen Sink Backpack Stealth Backpacks by David Weis

The appearance of a man.

So I'm writing this review a week after using my kitchen sink. Those are my first thoughts on the backpack. First thing to note is that I'm upgrading to this backpack from the Swiss Gear 20L backpack I've traveled the world with. A pack of Swiss Gear literally fits in this kitchen sink. It's great that I now have two children to travel the world with. The main reason I bought this kitchen sink was international travel. Haven't done it with it yet but I've been using it as an everyday backpack for a week. My usual everyday luggage is my laptop, a novel, a magazine, a 1000ml water bottle, a few business document folders and all sorts of cables/gadgets a man needs to survive a day in South Asia. All this is placed in the kitchen sink, and there is a lot of free space. The backpack looks great and is very comfortable to wear. I used it on a day trip through the Himalayas by motorbike. He was perfect for that. What it lacks (or more than what I lack in my Swiss Gear backpack) is the ability to organize this large backpack. There's a huge laptop sleeve separating the main compartment, but that's about it. I wish there was a divider in the main compartment so my books, journal, kindle and other items don't slide around in the backpack as much. Also, the smaller front compartment can have pre-formed sleeves for things like flashlights and a cell phone, but then it's just one big cavernous space where you can easily slide small things like USB, hand sanitizer, pens, etc. around in space. Place. He needs multiple mesh pockets or zippered pockets to keep these things in place. The side compartments are the same. Really huge, but no organization possible. So the package is great. I like it very much and I do not regret the purchase. I believe it will serve me well on long and grueling international flights. However, as an everyday backpack, you should be aware that your belongings won't fill it up and will be scattered all over the place in the huge compartments. In general, this is not a major obstacle to a deal. But if you dismiss Swiss Gear's bespoke business bag with all sorts of organizational pockets, just know this bag isn't!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Slightly torn
