Review on Erno Laszlo VTM Micro-Essence Restorative Facial Lotion For Dry And Damaged Skin, Refining Pores And Improving Texture, 5 Fl Oz by Nicole Walker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

beautiful, high-end presentation & unusual " jellified micro-bubble " texture, made in the USA

I have mixed feelings about this ERNO LASZLO VTM micro essence. I've bought and used Erno Laszlo products before, and some of them are effective or luxurious enough to justify the cost. This essence has a pleasant fragrance, and it looks really attractive and unusual in the bottle, almost lava lamp-like, with the pink bubbles suspended in transparent gel and the gradient bottle. It is oil-based but feels smooth and refreshing when it's applied. The gel beads dissolve almost immediately. The texture is serum-like while the emollient effects are more like a lotion or cream. It absorbs well and doesn't leave behind a residue. As I was scanning the ingredients I noticed it contained octocrylene, which is usually only found in sunscreens. It does has a UV-filtering effect but it's also bioaccmulative, so heads up to those who prefer only mineral sunblock ingredients in their skincare. It's made in the USA.While overall it's a good skincare product, I feel like a lot of other serums and essences do much the same job just as well for less. The appearance and delivery of the product are luxurious-feeling, pleasant and unusual, but it's a big markup for novelty and presentation.

Pros
  • Erno Laszlo is a trusted name in skincare, and their VTM Micro-Essence Restorative Facial Lotion is no exception – it’s a high quality product designed to deliver results
Cons
  • May not work effectively when used alone without other Erno Laszlo skincare products
