It's okay. 2 Notes: A regular garbage bag will not work, you need to buy a special size garbage bag. The glass is smaller than I thought, large things cannot be thrown away. My second and much more important issue that really makes me dislike this jar is that the lid doesn't close completely like a normal person would. I often open the lid and find that when the lid is closed, a lot of small flies got in. When I throw away smelly things like kitty litter or stale food, I can still smell them in the trash can and I've never had a problem with the common man. Otherwise he is very sweet and persistent. But once you've had the top of the line, that's not enough. I'll probably sell it on Craigslist and pay the extra money for a better brand. Edit: I threw away that smelly can after a year. There were small stains on the liner that I couldn't wash off. Overall I am disappointed with this purchase and will not buy this brand again.
