After days of searching for pet warmers that are safe for the outdoors, I finally settled on this one. I have a cat that was not originally mine and while she loves being at home, she also prefers to be outside. She has winter protection but I wanted to add a heat source for my peace of mind and her comfort. There are 7 temperature settings. As long as the block doesn't get very hot, it's warm enough. I increased it to 4 and 5 and she seems perfectly happy with that setting. The average age in this region is 20 to 30 years. Timing settings 3-6-12 hours. The timer works. Since she is often outside at night, I usually do this between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. The padding itself is very thick and the material appears to be quite durable. The wiring and cable are thick and feel protected too. She is sitting in her shelter under a blanket. Overall I am very satisfied so far! I got exactly what I needed for an even happier cat.
