I used to buy several pairs of large and heavy welding gloves from local shops. They are always so thick and ill-fitting that they get stuck in one place and so large in others that you don't have the dexterity to pick up tools or poles. When I put them on, everything was very different. I haven't done a MIG since I got this, but I've done a lot of arc welding on clean and dirty painted steel. With thick, deeply penetrating rods. They were great and held up to the heat allowing me to move and flex at work. When I went to the thin staffs on the red iron girders, I was able to get the staffs out and reload the spike without removing my gloves! I can adjust my helmet with gloves. It is great.
