Meets my needs

I use these adapters all the time. For the most part, this one has worked well for my needs. Any problems I encountered cannot ONLY be directly attributed to this adapter, but overall my experience was good. HDMI worked well, but not perfectly in all situations. Because HDMI is an unreliable standard and has several versions. Since I'm presenting slides on someone else's hardware (and the people I work with are usually of unknown age or characteristics), I never know if my computer screen looks right or what resolutions are supported. To make matters worse, the standards may not always be correct on both sides (my side or the TV). With that in mind, I can't fault this adapter for every HDMI issue. For example, I had a presentation where I used an HDMI adapter and the video just didn't work. I tried two other adapters, both were ok in other situations and they didn't work either. So in my experience the adapter worked fine but the HDMI on the TV side was as unpredictable as ever. I know that most TVs, even 4K TVs, have HDMI adapters that aren't 2K or 4K. Often only one port supports 4K. In fact, many Samsung 4K TVs only have one or two 4K ports, while the rest support lower resolutions. If you're not connected to that 4K port, you won't have much of an experience. It's not an adapter's fault, it's just that TV manufacturers prioritize marketing over full disclosure of what features you get when you buy it. I have a lot of experience with the USB port on the adapter. I haven't had any major noticeable problems, although I've only used it intermittently and not for long periods of time. It worked just as well as the Apple adapters I used. However, I would like to say that some uses of USB-C (e.g. Ethernet) prevent twisting of wires or cables along the way. When I've had problems with an adapter like this in the past, it was usually because the end of the cable adapter was bent due to the weight of the adapter and the ethernet cable being pulled on it over time. Like all things, all adapters will wear out over time from constant flexing, especially when you're out and about with them. The charging port worked fine for me too. Nothing to say except that it loads as expected. If you travel frequently, it's definitely an advantage to have an adapter that can handle multiple things like this. This is especially true if your laptop only has 2 USB-C ports. As for me, I will still carry and use this adapter, although I will continue to carry a backup for critical functions just in case.
